Delete your account
Leave whenever you want. You can export your vocabulary bank and reading history first in Settings → Account → Export Data. Deleting your account permanently wipes your personal learning profile.
Fastest: Delete inside the mobile app (10 seconds)
Open Goss and tap your Profile avatar in the top corner.
Go to Settings → Account → Export data (optional, to save your words).
Tap Delete account and request your confirmation link. Goss signs you out.
Open the link in your email and confirm. Your account and data are permanently deleted.
Important: Cancel store subscriptions first
Deleting your Goss account does not automatically cancel subscriptions billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancel them in your phone's Store settings before deleting to avoid unwanted renewal charges.
Locked out? Request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the mobile app, enter the email address linked to your Goss account below. We will send you a secure 24-hour verification link.
If you cannot use the app or this form, email us from the address linked to your account with the subject “Delete my account”; we handle verified requests within 30 days.
What we permanently delete
- Account & profile details: your name, email, target languages, and level.
- Sign-in credentials and third-party authentication identities.
- Complete learning progress: streaks, vocabulary lists, story history, and SRS review cards.
- AI chat transcripts, tutor prompts, and generated content.
- Imported article URLs and customized reading materials.
- Device push notification tokens and preferences.
- Customer support threads and bug reports once closed.
How long it takes
- Deletion runs as soon as you confirm on the page the link opens.
- Confirmation links are valid for 24 hours; request a new one if yours has passed.
- Residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period before they are overwritten, and are not used for any other purpose.
